[PLUG] Need Help with Wireless configuration in Ubuntu

I am almost sure you must have checked this... but nevertheless let me
ask... is wireless light on panel glowing green?

If not then Fn+F2 (that's cobination on my Dell 1501) key needs to be
pressed so that wireless gets activated.

Ubuntu is somewhat new to me, but I would try this...

# /sbin/iwlist wlan0 scan
from Konsole assuming wlan0 is properly configured...
