Hi,

"urpmi" is basically higher level management tool for .rpm
may be like apt for .deb
yast package, zypper, zen management for suse
yum for fedora

smart is another choice - http://labix.org/smart

Now a days every linux distro has tool like urpmi.

Regards,
Ameya.
