Hi,

I am trying to configure Tata Indicom Photon+ mobile broadband with
Olive V-ME101 USB modem that the vendor provided to me. It is
officially supported on Linux. My Distro is OpenSuSE 11.1.

Here are the steps I carried out:

elan:~ # lsusb

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 201e:2009
<... other entries ...>

elan:~ # modprobe usbserial vendor=0x201e product=0x2009

I cannot make much head or tail of the errors reported. I also tried
the following based on recommendation here:

# usb_modeswitch -v 0x201e -p 0x2009

But get the following errors:

Error: no MessageEndpoint given. Can't send message. Aborting

In /ets/usb_modeswitch.conf, I don't see any entry for the Vendor Id
201e and product id 2009 under it. Apparently I need a Vendor +
Product specific MessageEndpoint (something like an address or Offset
I think) and a MessageContent which is written to the endpoint. This
information is not there with me for Olive V-ME101. Any help is
appreciated.

Regards,
Arindam
