[PLUG] Practical shell Implementation of the login command.

Hi,
I have searched the manual pages and the internet for examples on login command,in vain :(.   I tried the login command in following manner and got the succeeding output.
----------------------
$ login -fp remote
Password: 
Login incorrect

login: remote
Password: 

Login incorrect
-------------------------

Please tell me how to use this 'login' command on the shell prompt with an example.
