[PLUG] Need fingerprint readers for use on Ubuntu

Hello,

Welcoming suggestions (even commercial offers) about fingerprint readers that are proven for use on Ubuntu. These need to be portable and usually plug into a USB port. They will be used with netbooks in the field. 

I have heard of netbooks (not laptops) that come integrated with readers. Those are welcome too.

Furthermore, the readers should come with an SDK (preferably Java) that will work across platforms.

i am currently trying DigitalPersona's U.are.U 4500 fingerprint reader, but this likes Windoze more.
